Let me begin by saying this restaurant serves no alcohol. Let me follow that by saying they serve some of the best Asian cuisine in this town. I walked in and was instructed that they don't serve alcohol and I almost walked out. But curiosity had the better of me so I stayed. The food was nothing short of outstanding. The pho was awesome! The Chinese cuisine is great and the hibachi was as well. If you're tired of every day Asian cuisine that you have eaten for years and years then you need to try this restaurant.

We were so happy to find good Vietnamese in Bowling Green. Sometimes it's really hard, even in a larger city. Tsunami is both reasonably priced and delicious. The pho is authentic, with tasty broth that really doesn't need doctoring but is even better after some sriracha and hoisin sauce. The fresh spring rolls are exactly as advertised--fresh (believe me that's a struggle for some places to manage). And the chargrilled pork with fried egg are grilled without being carbonized (again, sometimes a struggle). I prefer the egg casserole, personally, but the fried egg works. I would give this place 5 stars if they had Vietnamese iced coffee and/or boba teas, but you can't always get everything you want in life. Its worth a try anyway. Its good, fast, and you can't go wrong.

This might be my favorite restaurant in Bowling Green. Try the Pho - it will change your life! So delicious. They have a wide variety of food to try. You can play it safe and get chicken teriyaki or be adventurous and try something you've never had before. I always get the pho because it is just so good and you can't get it anywhere else. They also have excellent curry on the weekends. And every meal comes with free dessert! Highly recommended!!

The food: The cup of soup they bring out tastes just like a bullion cube was put into a little bit of water...with a few green onions pieces. I ordered the #V2. The chicken was brown, thin, and certainly not charred or even good. The vermicelli was just plain noodles, so I don't know if that is good or bad, but there was no cohesiveness with the other foods in the dish, and yes I tried the duck sauce with it all. The cut up cucumber was the best part. The lettuce was hard and dry. There was what looked to be some pink sausage in the dish that was gritty. The egg roll was good, but it was just one narrow one cut into 3 pieces. So needless to say I would not order this again, which is not for me to know because I won't be back. They offered me a free desert of Flan or chocolate cake. I declined as the people sitting across from me stated their desert tasted sour. Service: The waiter took my order promptly and the food arrived in about 8 min. He didn't come back till I had covered my bowl with my napkin. Asked if it was good and I said not really. There were two guys working the floor and they seemed rushed with only 7 people there just after lunch time. Building: The place looks clean, so I will suppose it was. There is a mirror all across one wall to make the place look bigger but IMO makes the place look cheap when it seemed so clean. The bathroom had cleaning supplies in it. Right next door is Five Guys, just get a burger if you don't want to drive anywhere else.

I've had pho in Vietnam and in numerous places in Toronto which is pho heaven and this place is actually not too bad. It is not as authentically Vietnamese as I wished, seeming the food has been adjusted to a more non-Asian palate. My son had the pho and he said it was really good. I tried his soup and it was quite good. Great wait staff and clean modern dining room. Prices are very reasonable.

I really like the Pho there. I always order a Pho2 for myself and a Tsao chicken for my bf. The Tsao chicken is so crispy outside and tender inside. Very good taste. Service is great too. Low price for great food!

Liked it so much, we ate there two nights in a row! And...we were only in town two nights! I had the Pho Ga, or pho with chicken, both times. My husband tried the pho with rare beef the second night. We loved them both and really enjoyed having the condiment plate (is that Thai basil? Tastes a little like lemongrass...but I'm sure about the sprouts, lime, sriracha and hoisin sauce) to add to taste. We feel guilty when we order dessert and so were delighted when we were offered FREE dessert...either vanilla or chocolate cake. We had the vanilla both times and it was moist and flavorful. Service was friendly and prompt both nights. The atmosphere is nice - red walls decorated with framed embroidered art - very pleasant and even romantic. If we're in town, we'll eat here again...if we were locals, we'd be regulars!

We were passing thru from Alabama to Ohio and stopped for the night in Bowling Green, Ky. We found Tsunami through yelp. We were NOT disappointed! We ordered takeout so we could eat by the pool at the hotel while watching the kids swim. Food was Fantastic! We ordered the chicken Pho per the yelp reviews. Amazing! We also had the spring rolls, General Tso's chicken and the Vietnamese vermicelli chicken dish. Everything was fabulous, including all the sauces that accompanied the food. On top of all the great food, the prices were extremely reasonable. We definitely recommend this spot!

I have always loved tsunami's and will continue to LOVE this place. The owner is such a great guy! Always pleasant and such a hard worker! The staff are amazing and friendly! I'm a sucker for there PHO! I'm always there every week sometimes 4 days out the week ordering their P3. I do sometimes wish he had some tendon though, but that never stops me! I ABSOLUTELY love it here!!! It always brings back memories of home!

This was my first foray into Vietnamese cuisine. I had the Pho Ga and a couple crispy spring rolls for $11. Very good! I will be back next time I am in town.

Odd mish mash of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese-- and I think they're a bit confused by it all - eg Vietnamese spring rolls came with (Chinese) sweet and sour sauce rather than fish sauce based dipping sauce-- what??Food was okay - not terrible but not memorable. Not flexible on providing vegetarian options and no alcohol served either. Wouldn't return

Had lunch here today... very pleasant experience. Both the food and the service will make me return. I had the fresh spring roll appetizer (shrimp) and the Pho Ga. Both were really good. The spring rolls were served with a yummy peanut sauce. The Pho Ga was loaded with lots of chicken and noodles and came in a huge bowl. It maybe, possibly needed a tad bit more seasoning, but not so much so that I did not enjoy it or would not order it again. Just to also note, the waitress was amazing! The menu also had some Chinese and Japanese options. So glad I followed the recommendations of my fellow Yelpers and tried this place. A solid 4 stars!

Here is a mixed review. We were in town cave hopping and my travel companions are Chinese. I lost the coin toss so we went here for noodles. They both got Pho and liked it. I am a Pho lover, but I wanted some grilled meat, so I choose the Hibachi Chicken. The hibachi chicken tasted like it was stir fried and slathered in this exceptionally sweet sauce. Not what you expect when you want dry grilled meats and veggies. It was edible, but oddly they threw in potato and I din't recall seing it as one of the veggies. I tried the Pho and it was awful in my opinion. It was exceptionally greasy, you could see it all over the top of the dish. However my companions loved it saying it was very homemade. Tasted to me like boiled cuck roast water. Normally you expect a good Pho to be lots of bone and deep protien taste. Cost was $8 for the Pho so you don't loose out on much, I have spent more on awful BBQ in that town.

The Pho was tasty yum! Better than what we can get in Nashville. Served up just right with fresh Thai basil, fresh, crunchy mung bean sprouts, fresh jalapenos and Sriracha on the side. The service was great, and they give you FREE dessert if you eat in.

Excellent service and food! Prices are also ridiculously cheap! Unfortunately we don't live nearby or we would be here weekly. The Banh Mi (po'boy) was fantastic and so were the spring and summer rolls although we did ask for the more traditional nuoc mam sauce instead of the sweet sauce that was served with the fried egg rolls. I was raised on Vietnamese food and have high standards for it. The food was delicious and authentic. We only ate the Vietnamese food. I don't normally have good experiences at restaurants that serve more than one type of Asian food, but luckily this place is the excception. We will try to swing through again next time we travel this way.

It's the rare Vietnamese restaurant in Bowling Green, KY. Let's just start off by marveling at that fact. The first time I saw the sign, I immediately began beaming. I don't know much about Vietnamese food as a whole, but I love pho, the hearty Vietnamese soup filled with noodles and meat. I have loved it since my high school days in California when I would eat at hole-in-the-wall establishments in San Jose and San Francisco. These were restaurants that were not the best in terms of interior design and aesthetics, but had a constant flow of customers because the food was of great quality. I found the pho at Tsunami to be great. I just had a very simple bowl with noodles and steak. The broth was good and slightly sweet. I was provided with a side of garnishes (bean sprouts, cilantro), but I simply left them out. Upon finishing my large bowl, I was offered a free dessert of either flan or chocolate cake, which are somewhat odd pairings for Vietnamese food, but I appreciated the gesture and accepted the flan. On a second visit, I had their daily special of chicken teriyaki with rice and vegetables, served with a side of miso soup. It's basically the same dish you can find at Samurai and Ichiban, two other popular restaurants in this city. During each visit the service was friendly and attentive. The prices are inexpensive. My only issue with Tsunami is that it's generally empty. Each time I have visited, only one or two other customers were present. Based on that and the newly listed hours of service, I fear that Tsunami won't last long in Bowling Green. Despite the quality of the food, there just doesn't seem to be enough demand. I hope I can continue getting my pho fix, though.

Since my nickname is 'Tsunami' our dinner selection when driving through Kentucky was easy. In Dayton there's a good Vietnamese restaurant named Lihn's so we had a certain baseline beforehand. This restaurant is AWESOME. The first thing you will notice is how nice the atmosphere is. When you walk in there is a large fish tank with tropical fish - nice touch! The walls are painted a bold crimson and the ceiling jet black. High-quality halogen bulbs showcase some colorful yet pleasant artwork on the walls. Great place to relax and eat. The men's room was clean. We all ordered the Pho and it was delicious. Better than Lihn's in my opinion (which I hold in high regard). Big large bowl, fresh sprouts, and jalapenos with very tasty steak, pork, and rice noodles. All three of us loved it. We also had crab rangoon (nailed it) and spring rolls (a little bit bland but the peanut dipping sauce was like a bau5). The waitress was friendly, warm, quick, and offered us free desert! +1 I'm a bottom line guy, I like a lot of food for a low price. This place satisfies that as well. The Pho bowl was straight gratuitous and only 7 bucks. Can't beat that. Throw in the very nice atmosphere, courteous and quick service, and the cleanliness, and you have an great restaurant.
